What information we collect
When you sign into our website and/or place an order we collect the following
information needed to complete your transaction, such as: name, shipping
address, email, phone number, and credit card number. This information my also
include personal or preference information you provide on sign up. It may also
include information you submit about other people for example the email address
for 'email a friend', or a drop ship address. We do not share, sell, trade,
rent, or distribute any personal information that we collect to any outside
party. We do contract third party service providers for our mailing services,
including special events, coupons, and sales promotions. The web server
automatically collects your internet service providers IP address, the
referring website, web browser software and a record of pages you visit during
your session.
Security
We will never request your email address, user name, password, credit card, or
any personal information through email. If you receive an email that looks like
it is from us requesting any personal information, do not respond. We respond
to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process. It is necessary to share
information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal
activities, suspected fraud, or potential threats to both physical and stored
data.
Service Providers
We utilize outside service providers to fulfill shipping and mailing services.
This may include drop shipments from our manufacturers. In these instances the
only information supplied will be a name and shipping address. We do not share
any additional personal information to these parties. Only the shipping
information and order detail is stored.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information on children under
the age of 13. No one under the age of 18 should submit any personal
information on this or any web site without the consent of a parent or
guardian. If we find that a child under the age of 13 has submitted personally
identifiable information on our site, we will take all reasonable measures to
delete any such information from our databases and not use any such information
for any purpose.
Opt out
You may occasionally receive emails regarding information on products, upcoming
specials, sales, events, or other offers from Sylvia's Swimwear. You may opt
out receiving e-mail communications by going to 'My Account' and modifying your
preferences. You may also select the 'opt out' option at the bottom of each
email. Please note that due to email production schedules you may continue to
receive emails for a short time after you have chosen to discontinue receiving
them. We will remove you information as quickly as possible. Please note that
we will continue to send you emails regarding any order you place online,
including order confirmation and shipping update information.
To delete all of your online account information from our online database,
please log into the 'My Account' section and remove your name, shipping
address, billing and payment information. Note that we will continue to
maintain information about the individual sales transaction for accounting and
record keeping.
How information is protected
We maintain this site with and all associated data with technical,
administrative, and physical safeguards to protect against loss, unauthorized
access, destruction, misuse, modification, and improper disclosure. Your credit
card transactions are handled through a Secure Socket Layering (SSL) industry
standardized encryption technology that ensures safe transmission of your
information. If you are uncertain about online transactions you are welcome to
make your purchases over the phone or at one of our retail locations. The
information we collect is encrypted and stored in our databases which have
access limited to only a small number of administrators who have special system
rights.

We may occasionally include links or content from other sites in an effort to
further enhance your shopping and visit experience. These sites maintain their
own separate and independent privacy policies. You should review the policies
of these sites before providing any information to that site. We can assume no
responsibility or liability for the content or activities offered by these

How to update personal information
Please log into the 'My Account' section on the web site. Here you can make
changes to your email, shipping and billing information, email and account
preferences. All information should be updated within our system in about 24
hours.
